The manager uses files in steam in order to mark achievements as done. It can’t manage something that’s not locally on your machine. Dec 27, · Just make a new form with a progress bar and call the GetAchievements () function of the file for each of them (maybe even with a user-configurable delay for the paranoids). This would make it look cleaner, and allow it to run in background. (see image below) Please ignore “Steam is not running errors” while auto-unlocking. Nanoelectronics: they learned to make conductors from nanotubes
Researchers at Purdue University claim to have come up with a way to organize nanotubes about 100 atoms in diameter into elements of integrated circuits. I will take the liberty of recalling that nanotubes are microscopic organized structures of chemical elements, like the recently discovered fullerenes. In a way, these are the same allotropes as graphite and carbon diamond. By the way, carbon nanotubes became one of the very first objects of study. True, until now, studies of the properties of nanotubes have been extremely fundamental, although attempts to apply them in nanoelectronics have been and remain the dream of many.
So, the Purdue scientists claim that what they call them, the “parent” molecules in the water spontaneously assemble into rings, which in turn assemble into long nanotubes. What remains on the surface of the rings plays a decisive role in the properties of nanotubes, of which the electrical and optical properties are of the greatest practical interest. Currently prof. Fenniri from Purdue University demonstrated two types of nanotubes – the first grows conductors, and the second – microscopic optical fibers.
And although, of course, the self-organization of nanotubes does not occur by chance, but due to the fact that their inner part is organized by hydrophobic groups, and the outer part is organized by hydrophilic groups (a kind of “reverse protein”), but, as before, the main problem of nanotube synthesis is the control of their chemical properties. If the researchers manage to grow, as they plan, nanotubes with known chemical properties, then they can “stitch” them into electronic devices. Currently prof. Fenniri plans to patent “rosette nanotubes”, self-organizing organic structures with customizable inner and outer diameters and multiple “leads”.
