Internet in Europe: far behind television

Recently, an American site expressed the opinion that Europeans use the Internet little. This opinion is based on data from a study conducted by the European Union, during which sociologists interviewed 16162 residents of Europe. 53% of them do not use a computer at all, and of the remaining 47%, only 16.2% visit the Internet.

At the same time, Greece and Portugal are in last place in terms of computer use, where only 25% of the population regularly use them, and the Internet – 15%. The first place in terms of the number of people on the Web was taken by Sweden, Denmark and Holland, with 67%, 59% and 54%, respectively.

So for Europeans, the first way to have fun is watching TV. According to the data of the same study, 98% of Europeans watch TV every day, and 60% also listen to the radio.
