Three new plasma monitors from Sony – in the Russian market

Sony announced the start of deliveries to the Russian market of three new professional plasma monitors – PFM-32C1, PFM-42B2 and PFM-50VC1, with a diagonal of 32, 42 and 50 inches, respectively. Monitors based on 852 x 1024 (32 “), 1024 x 1024 (42”) and 1365 x768 (50 “) elements.

Externally, all new monitors are similar to the previous model Sony PFM-42B1, but they have a number of improvements. One of the most important is the so-called “bipixel” technology pioneered by Sony, which compensates for possible image artifacts when displaying a dynamic “picture”. Unlike other plasma monitors on the market, Sony technology uses
active digital interlacing circuit
decomposition of the image into progressive.

Since these models are manufactured by the professional division of Sony, they have the advantages of an industrial grade device. One of them is the versatile ability to work with a variety of signals – from standard composite video to HDTV, digital TV and computer RGB signals: up to 15 types of video in total-
and 32 computer signals – from VGA to UXGA.

Another interesting feature is the ability of Sony plasma monitors to work as part of computer networks as full-fledged network devices, with the ability to assign their own IP address. The BKM-B30NW network card additionally built into the monitor serves this purpose.

Details about the new monitors can be found on the company’s website.
