Six more companies announce Symbian OS support

Symbian announced that six more mobile phone and pocket PC manufacturers have joined its Semiconductor Partner Program. These six companies are: Japanese Seiko Epson, American Agilent Technologies, Irish Parthus Technologies, Dutch Philips Semiconductors (a division of Royal Philips Electronics), Korean Samsung Electronics and STMicroelectronics, an Italian-French joint venture.

As support, all listed companies will migrate to Symbian OS in their ARM-based mobile phones. By the way, recall that Symbian already has five good partners: ARM, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments.

So all that remains is to rejoice for Symbian and wish it success.
